About Weeki Wachee Springs State Park

Florida's famous "City of Live Mermaids." The original underwater mermaid show has been running since 1947 in an underwater theater built at the spring vent. Buccaneer Bay waterpark uses the spring water. River boat tours and kayaking on the Weeki Wachee River. The spring itself is one of the deepest in Florida at 250+ ft. Only research divers access the cave system.
